The business designs, manufactures and delivers high-quality equipment that is then supported via the extensive Australasian SCF depot network.
We are currently seeking a full-time Shipping Coordinator to join our Projects team based in SCF's Adelaide Head Office. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing & Engineering Manager, the main responsibility of this role is to oversee international shipping operations.
Key Responsibilities
International Shipping and Domestic Transport
- Coordinate shipping on liner and breakbulk vessels for standard and oversized shipping containers and tanks
- Coordinate transport of new stock from wharf to depot/customer
- Negotiate and liaise with freight forwarders, local and international authorities, shipping lines, factories and local transport providers for the delivery of new stock
- Identify opportunities to improve procedures, update process and reduce shipping costs
Administration
- Provide support and advise to the sales and financial areas of the business
- Raise purchase orders and monitoring budget costs against actuals
- Manage product acceptances and releases
- Arrange Customs Clearance and quarantine entries
- Maintain up to date shipping schedules.
Essential criteria to be successful in this role
- International shipping/freight experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
