About the role...We have an opportunity to join our crew as a Shipping Specialist in a permanent full time capacity at our Global HQ in Torquay. The role reports directly to our Purchasing Manager and primary purpose is to manage flow of all international stock movements. Responsibilities: - Ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation for compliance with organisational policies and regulations
- Monitor air/sea shipments from AU-NZ and CN/NZ
- Co-ordinate NZ deliveries with Toll Global/NZ post
- Own the relationship with NZ post
- Answer and resolve all shipping issues
- First contact for supplier process and system issues and resolutions
- Follow established policies, procedures and objectives
- Reviewing and analysing shipping data to identify trends, patterns and areas for improvement
- Managing international claims process
- Managing and organising shipping all records of shipments, including costs, delivery times and discrepancies or issues
- Freight bookings by communicating with traders, customers, suppliers, shipping lines and freight forwarders to meet shipping periods, pricing and terms
- Ensuring documentation to customers, broker and finance are provided in a timely manner
- Investigate and resolve freight forwarders invoicing queries
- Offering advice on shipping policies, compliance requirements and best practice
- Utilising analytical skills to optimise shipping processes, reduce costs and enhance efficiencies
- Intercompany transfers, global retail and wholesale orders delivered as required
What we are searching for...We are looking for someone who has experience in similar role or in a freight forwarding position.
