Lifeline Direct (LLD) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lifeline Australia, delivering the suite of Lifeline's services across eight geographical regions. LLD works as a collaborative of local Lifeline Centres sharing administrative and other support services, which not only delivers efficiency in administration but enables the Centres to work together in areas that were not previously possible. This, all while maintaining a sense of ‘localness’ to operate and serve local communities. LLD encompasses the Hunter Region, Central Coast, Bondi, New England, Northern NSW, Geelong, South West Victoria, Western Melbourne and Central Australia.
As a Shop Assistant, you will provide exceptional customer service to all shoppers to ensure a positive shopping experience. You will show initiative in the way you work and be responsible for the supervision of volunteers during your allocated shifts, ensuring shop tasks are completed to a high standard and in accordance with LLD policies and procedures.
In this hands-on role, you will be able to showcase your style and flare by ensuring stock is merchandised and priced accordingly. You will get to know your local community, what they love to buy and ensure these gems are showcased.
To be successful in this role you will have:
• Previous experience working in a retail outlet and available weekends
• Demonstrated experience in customer service
• Experience in ensuring product merchandising and store presentation is of a high standard
• Be able to work independently as well as within a team.
• Be self-motivated and show initiative
• Have a positive attitude and outstanding personal presentation.
• Cultural sensitivity and diversity awareness.
• An understanding of working with volunteers
• Working knowledge of applied information technology
