An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Shotfirer to join our team at the Jellinbah mine site.
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will work a 7/7 day shift only roster alongside with a crew of 18 people.
Core accountabilities include:
- Safe and efficient surface shotfiring operations
- Carry out pre-starts
- Regularly carry out workplace Take 5’s
- Attend toolbox discussions
- Contribute to a respectful and inclusive work environment
About you
- Experience in shotfiring operations in an open cut environment essential
- Demonstrated experience working in the drill & blast industry
- Experience using both Non-Electric and Electronic Blasting Systems (desirable)
- Unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency
- Ability to work well within a team and unsupervised
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
What you need
- Current open class manual driver’s licence
- QLD Shotfirer’s ticket
- QLD Security Clearance for handling explosives
- Current QLD Coal Board Medical (or willing to obtain)
- Standard 11 (or willing to obtain)
- National Police Clearance (Less than 3 months old or willing to obtain)
