Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the successful candidate will be a highly experienced Shutdown Planner who will be able to accurately plan all shut downs to maximise efficient and effective execution of the maintenance team within the processing maintenance department.

Responsibilities of the Shutdown Planner
- Deliver completed planned work-lists for future shutdowns, in line with the shutdown readiness program.
- Ensure all work involving critical hazards is identified in the planning of work and all permits required are listed as tasks in the work orders.
- Comply with the companies OHS/environmental regulations and legislation, including all site policies and procedures.
- Ensure safety investigations are completed in a timely manner and closed out within the prescribed period.
- Communicate all progress, updates, and non-conformance in line with the shutdown work management process.
- Prepare work plans, including accurate resources, equipment, plant and materials.
- Build work packs, including work instructions, checklists, safety documentation and any reference material.
- Provide planning support during shut periods.
- Actively look for and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Skills and Qualifications
- Construction White Card (WA)
- Trade qualified tradesperson (mechanical, electrical, or metal fabrication)
- Current “C” class Western Australian drivers’ licence.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the mining industry, working on fixed plant maintenance.
- Computer literacy – Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Pronto/Pronto XI
- Effective communication/relationship building skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
- Awareness of mine safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
- A proactive approach and involvement in continuous improvement processes.
