We are currently seeking a highly experienced Shutdown Scheduler to join our leading Mining client. The Shutdown Scheduler plays a pivotal role in improving efficiency for the shutdown execution team and will provide scheduling for day-to-day maintenance of long term planned shutdowns.
In this role you will:
- Review maintenance work orders within the shutdown revisions for scope accuracy, also leading communications with key stakeholders, maintenance coordinators, engineering/reliability departments, operations, maintenance vendors.
- Assist engineering and reliability department with project design, review, and execution.
- Optimise the schedule through problem solving and field knowledge to ensure work is scheduled in the most safe and efficient manner.
- Assist in continuous improvement of information and processes for information management and tools including planning, scheduling and other shutdown processes and standards.
- Develop and maintain master schedules with SAP – Software integration.
- Assist in the identification of long-range shutdown deliverables and key checkpoints for the planning and scheduling cycle.
- Effective cost and budget control through planning phase
- Assist in the creation of the daily shut progress reports during the shut and shutdown close out reports.
Qualifications and skills required:
To be successful you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Experience and proficiency with using Microsoft Suite & SAP
- Trade or Engineering qualification
- Minimum 3+ years shutdown Maintenance Planning or Supervisor experience
- Strong background in maintenance and mining processes
- Demonstrated experience in shutdown scheduling processes and execution
- Strong Interpersonal and communications skills
