Shutdown Superintendent

The Opportunity:
  
Due to the expansion in their shutdown requirements , an industry leader in Civil and Mechanical works has partnered with Techforce Personnel to fill their growing project needs. Our Partner is looking for a SMP Superintendent with proven experience across the SMP space, with a strong fixed plant background as well as a background managing and supervising teams operating in the shutdown space.

Job Responsibilities:  
  
As a SMP Superintendent, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of a variety of fixed plant equipment incuding new crushing plant, conveyers, scrubbers, screens and more.  You will need to drive shutdown processes aligning your responsibilities across Mechanical Works, OHSE, QA/QC, Risk Management and Stakeholder Engagement. 
  
Additional responsibilities will include:  

• Manage and prioritise tasks to facilitate high-quality project delivery works, drive superior commercial and safety outcomes and achieve shutdown milestones on schedule and on budget.
• Support plant operations to develop and implement the operational plans, systems, and procedures for the processing plant in accordance with the strategic plan and KPIs.
• Supervising, directing, and supporting direct reports on-site to develop their implementation plans and subsequently monitor activities of their work crews.
• Ensuring progress and safety and overseeing quality control testing throughout the project’s duration.
• Contribute to project risk and opportunity management in to identify, control and mitigate risks to an acceptable level.

Ideally, you will bring the following skills, experience, and attributes:

• 5 - 10 years' proven experience as a SMP Superintendent or Senior Supervisor within the mining sector.
• Management Qualification.
• Strong leadership communication skills with the ability to manage, supervise, direct and mentor staff and contractors.
• Mechanical Trade Qualification.
• Blue / White Card
• C Class Driver's License
