Superintendent Plant Shutdown – Hope Downs

About the role

We are looking for a Superintendent Plant Shutdown to join the fixed plant team at Hope Downs.
This is a great opportunity for a leader with great stakeholder engagement skills to lead a diverse and high performing team. Reporting to the Manager Fixed Plant you will be joining an experienced, stable and knowledgeable team of subject matter experts. Working in a challenging and exciting environment you will be:
  • A valued partner of the Fixed Plant leadership team
  • Actively engaging and influencing the wider maintenance and operations teams to improve the site’s safety, cost and production outcomes.
  • Widely engage and interface at all levels from general manager to supervisor level
  • Seen as the subject matter expert for all shutdown related queries within fixed plant
  • Liaising with contractors on a regular basis for the shutdown schedule and logistics
  • Shaping new ways of working with digital tools to optimise the planning, scheduling and execution in near real-time
What you’ll bring
  • A commitment to the safety of yourself, your team and our contract partners
  • Strong background in fixed Plant Shutdown or maintenance
  • Prior cost management knowledge
  • Be an engaging leader who can engage, influence, coach and motivate both your immediate team but also your wider stakeholder group.
  • Be resilient, proactive and pragmatic with the ability to drive progress and change within a dynamic environment.
  • Input into strategies to get more operating time out of the asset through reliability centred maintenance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Have leadership experience and be confident in leading, developing and coaching team members
