Sign Maker / Sign Installer

Black Blue White are looking for an experienced Sign-maker / Sign Installer.

We would like applicants to have some experience within the signage industry but not necessary and be willing to be trained to achieve more experience within the sign industry. Metal fabrication experience is essential for all applicants and some knowledge of sign installation would be preferred.

About the role

We're looking for a well-rounded motivated person who can work with a team or by themselves to join our small team of 3. Your role would be aluminium metal fabrication of sign frames, no welding experience need but will be an advantage, Led and low voltage wiring and onsite sign Installation, be able to work at heights and be willing to learn all other aspects of the sign industry for example vinyl application and digital printing applications.

Other trade-qualified candidates (such as carpenters, boiler makers, sheet metal, metal fabrication trades assistants) who can adapt to sign making and install signage are also invited to apply.

Desired skills and experience 

1) EWP licence/working at height ticket compulsory

2)  White card compulsory

3) Manual open drivers licence compulsory

4)  Reliable transportation compulsory as the work place is a 25min drive from the Ipswich CBD

5) Fit and healthy, able to work at heights

6) Ability to work effectively within a small team

7) Highest level of motivation, dedication, initiative and efficiency

8) Signage industry experience advantage

9) Have the ability to problem-solve and work by them selves

10) Be able to read and understand construction and fabrication drawings

What we can offer

Competitive hourly rate, negotiable on experience $35-$45 per hour
