About the Role
Exciting new opportunity at our SIMON JOHNSON Subiaco store enhancing the customer experience. Our Retail Assistants have a passion for food and customer service. They are able to demonstrate retail or hospitality experience, with an understanding of POS operating systems.
The successful candidate for this position needs to have weekend availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service at all times - where the customer will have a memorable and meaningful experience in our store.
- Help build the customer base through high levels of customer service and provide extensive product knowledge
- Ensure the store is clean and always looking its best, and work areas, machinery, furniture, utensils, equipment are cleaned and well maintained
- Work within our Quality Assurance standards
- Stock products on shelves are priced and labelled correctly
- Operate POS registers and calculate change manually if required
Skills and Experience:
- Prior experience in food retail will be viewed favourably
- Experience in customer service-oriented roles
- POS experience is an advantage
- Intermediate Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and outlook).
- Strong work ethic with weekend availability
- Organisational & time management capabilities with a focus on multitasking and reprioritising
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
- Positive attitude, proactive and shows initiative and works well under pressure
- A can-do, team-focused attitude is essential for success
- Strong interpersonal skills – ability to liaise confidently with customers and team members – excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail - Accurate key entry skills
