The Role
The Simulator Technician role will be responsible to the Maintenance Manager (or delegate) to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on the MH-60R training devices ensuring maximum operational availability to our customer, the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). This particular maintenance contract supports two full flight simulators, a team of ground-based trainers as well as full aircraft trainers.
This is a full time permanent position, HMAS Albatross, Nowra.
Key Responsibilities
- Carries out all maintenance tasks effectively as directed by Senior Simulation Technician or Maintenance Manager
- Assists Senior Simulation Technicians with investigations supporting site-based engineering development needs
- Carry out all maintenance tasks to meet internal and external compliance requirements
- Participates in maintenance related continuous improvement activities
- Works to CAE’s Environment, Health & Safety Management System
Our Ideal Candidate has:
- Qualifications or experience working in either/or Electronics, Aircraft Maintenance, information technology or similar
- Previous aviation and/or flight simulator industry experience is desirable but not essential
Note: as the Australian Department of Defence is a major client, you must be eligible for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already hold a current SECRET (NV1) clearance. Australian citizens only.
