Flight Options (Australia) Pty Ltd is a fast growing aviation training organisation based on the Sunshine Coast Airport, QLD. Our facility is state of the art, purpose built and houses a Level D full flight simulator - King Air B200/KA350i.
Job Description/Job Summary
We are currently seeking a suitably qualified technical individual to assist in supporting and maintaining synthetic training devices. Responsibilities include the support of flight crew and instructors during training and ensuring the reliability of the training devices.
Business operates 7 days a week, evening shift work and dayshift leave coverage is a requirement for this role when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on simulator and associated systems.
- Carries out pre-flight and post flight tasks to ensure the simulator is ready for training.
- Perform configuration changeouts as required.
- Perform administrative tasks as required.
- Perform power on and initialisation of simulator systems.
- Perform simulator and associated systems shutdown procedures.
- Comply with companies’ quality management system.
- Troubleshoot simulator and associated systems and apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems.
- Capable of interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Proficient in the use of computer systems and networks.
- Provide customer support.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate IV Avionics or Certificate IV in Electrical / Electronic / Electrotechnology or qualifications and or equivalent experience in similar fields.
- Knowledge of flight simulation systems an advantage.
- Ability to use test equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to diagnose complex hardware and software faults.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
