About the Role:
We are continually looking for enthusiastic and talented people to join our team.
We are currently seeking a Site Civil Engineer on a full-time, fixed-term contract basis. The site work will be undertaken in the Hunter Valley, NSW.
Key responsibilities and activities include:
Site Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and contractors, facilitating effective communication and resolving any issues that arise.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of field leadership with a strong focus on safety among site personnel.
- Coordinate with site personnel to maintain efficient workflow.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize project designs and methodologies, seeking opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality control and assurance standards as defined in the construction documentations and relevant standards and identify any deficiencies promptly and ensure they are resolved.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare regular progress reports and updates for project stakeholders, highlighting achievements, challenges, and proposed solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, including engineering designs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Knowledge, Experience and Skill requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree of Civil / Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in Civil Engineering construction, with a focus on earthworks preferred.
- At least 5 years of professional/ construction experience.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Familiarity with relevant engineering software tools and applications, including project management software and AutoCAD.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
- Experience in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and managing their expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse teams, both on-site and in the office, and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects.
- A proactive and can-do attitude with a demonstrated ability to take initiative.
- Willingness to travel as required, with flexibility to relocate or work on remote sites if necessary.
- Australian driver's license.
