My client is a well-established regional road contractor seeking a motivated Site Engineer to join their growing team. You will play a key role in delivering a range of infrastructure and civil projects across the region.
What you'll do:
- Oversee day-to-day construction activities on assigned projects, ensuring they meet plans, specifications, and budgets.
- Liaise effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct inspections, monitor quality control, and identify and resolve construction issues promptly.
- Prepare and maintain accurate site documentation, including daily reports, progress claims, and variation orders.
- Manage subcontractors, ensuring they comply with safety regulations and contractual obligations.
- Contribute to project planning and scheduling, identifying potential risks and mitigation strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
What you'll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 1 years' experience as a Site Engineer or similar role.
- Proven understanding of construction methods, materials, and quality control procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a demanding environment.
- A valid Australian driver's license and willingness to travel for work (within the region).
- Proficiency in construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) is a plus.
