Sydney Metro West - Central Tunnelling Package
The AFJV, Acciona Construction Australia Pty Ltd and Ferrovial (Construction Australia) Pty Ltd has been awarded a $1.96 billion contract to start tunnelling on the mega Sydney Metro West project.
Construction includes the delivery of 11 kilometres of twin metro rail tunnels between Sydney Olympic Park and The Bays.
Job Description:
- Ensure that the project is delivered within the allotted time and budget, while satisfying the client's needs
- · Assist in planning material, resources and systems usage for successful, cost-effective, and best-practice project completion
- · Maintain documentation and systems for quality, safety, environmental considerations
- · Participate in client/contractor meetings
- · Manage cost control for certain scope of works and maintain 2 weeks look ahead
- · Read and interpret design plans and drawings
- · Supervise, mentor and support Graduate Engineers
Required Skills and Competencies
- · Tertiary qualification in civil engineering or similar
- · Site-based experience working on a range of civil or structural packages
- · An ability to understand design, problem solve, learn, adapt and continually challenge yourself
- · Well-developed communication skills and an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of subcontractors, local authorities, internal staff and clients
