Job Summary: As a Site Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects. With your strong engineering background and construction expertise, you'll ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Collaborating closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, you'll drive project success from planning to implementation.
Key Objectives:
- Lead multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Manage and maintain building assets, upholding the highest standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee project teams, consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors to optimize project workflow.
- Drive continual improvement in project processes and outcomes.
- Ensure quality control, adherence to project specifications, and site safety across all projects.
- Understanding project goals and ensuring works are completed within required specifications.
- Collaborating with project manager and site team leader to ensure smooth construction activities.
- Planning construction methods and proposing solutions to design issues.
- Maintaining daily costings and production records.
- Coordinating subcontractors for variations and defects, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
- Conducting planning, organizing, and resourcing of specific operations to achieve priority targets.
- Monitoring quality and reporting non-conformances to the Project Manager.
- Assisting in project risk assessment and applying risk management processes.
- Monitoring on-site safety, quality, and environmental issues.
- Civil Engineering Degree preferred.
- Good understanding of concrete, steel structure, piles, excavation, and civil works.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Computer literate (Excel, Word, AUTOCAD, etc.).
- Understanding of planning and programming.
- Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia.
- Familiarity with WH&S, Quality, and Environmental controls.
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
- Based across project sites with a Construction White Card and driver's license.
- Ability to travel locally or interstate as necessary.
