The Opportunity
Due to ongoing growth, 360 Engineering currently has an opportunity for a Control System/Automation Engineers to join their team on a full-time basis.
Joining an experienced team of over 15 Engineers, you will be working closely with clients to design and deliver a range of control system and telemetry projects, completing a mix of office-based and field-based work.
Your primary role will be working across industry leading technologies; designing, programming, testing, commissioning and supporting SCADA, PLC, RTU, HMI and Radio telemetry systems. This will include moderate amounts of domestic travel to attend client sites.
Your other responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Ethernet networking design and implementation;
- Providing support and training to clients;
- Mentoring junior engineering staff;
- Assisting with the development of bids, proposals and quotes;
- Performing maintenance and diagnostics on client systems; and
- Completing risk assessments and ensuring all work complies with
WHS and Quality standards
About You
We are looking for someone with experience in telemetry and/or control systems in the Water/Wastewater sector with a minimum of two years relevant experience. A relevant degree qualification is desired for this role, however, good industry experience without one would also be fine.
You will have a knack for customer service, being a naturally personable and down-to-earth individual who can communicate effectively on a technical level and work collaboratively with both clients and project staff.
You will have a background with some of the following technologies and brands:
- PLC: Rockwell, Schneider, Siemens or Omron
- RTU: SCADAPack, Brodersen, Mox, Siemens, Kingfisher or Elpro
- SCADA: GeoSCADA (ClearSCADA) and/or Plant SCADA (CitectSCADA)
- HMI: Red Lion, PanelView, ProFace and Omron
- Telemetry Radios: 4RF, Trio, Elpro
You will be confident using Microsoft Office, and have a good understanding of networking and advanced computing concepts such as virtualisation.
Special consideration will be given to applicants demonstrating experience in:
- OT Cybersecurity
- Active Directory
- System admin
- Electrical Design
You will need to be able and willing to assist junior engineering staff, whilst being open to feedback and be genuinely interested in collaborating with and learning from the highly experienced 360 Engineering team.
Finally, you'll take genuine pride in your work, with good attention to detail, a sense of initiative and a 'can-do' attitude.
