About the role: Aurizon Operations is responsible for running above rail haulage services from mine to port on rail networks across the country including Aurizon Network, Queensland Rail, ARTC and Arc Infrastructure.
The Yards Asset Management Team (YAMT) sits within Aurizon Operations & has a dedicated infrastructure team responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and renewal of rail assets in Aurizon’s yards, terminals & sidings. Ultimately, the team support commercial outcomes of the above rail business through fit-for-purpose management of the below rail assets (track, turnouts, signalling etc.).
As a Site Engineer in the team, you will be presented with the opportunity to manage rail infrastructure across Aurizon’s national footprint, focusing specifically on assets in Western Australia. In this role, you will gain exposure in areas such as project management, earth works and rail construction.
If successful in your application, you will join a small, dedicated group of professionals with a significant amount of construction & engineering experience that will help establish a strong base for your career in the rail industry.
About you: As a newly gradated Civil Engineer (min 2yrs post grad), you are keen to grow and build upon your skills. You are coachable with a strong commitment to safety. Those with rail experience will be highly regarded. You have the flexibility to travel, and work blocks away during the delivery of projects.
