About The Project:
John Holland is GoldlinQ's nominated design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.
Your Role:
The John Holland Gold Coast Light Rail is currently sourcing a Site Engineer to join the Track Slab team based on site in Broadbeach. Reporting into the Senior Project Engineer, you'll be accountable for coordinating on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project time and budget objectives.
Your key responsibilities include;
- Work closely with the Projects Engineering and Supervisory team to ensure timely delivery of programme requirements from a cost and time perspective
- Significant input in managing project Quality Systems with respect to inspections, checklists, documentation, and record keeping
- Planning & Programming
- Assist with procurement & supplier management
- Ensure compliance of the works undertaken in relation to technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals and standards with a focus on risk management.
About You:
- Degree qualified Civil Engineer with at least 12 months post qualification experience
- Understanding contemporary practices in construction methodology on civil infrastructure projects
- Experience in Roadworks and Concrete is highly desirable
- Previous exposure to rail/light rail construction desired, but not essential
- Confident communicator
- Passion for teamwork and delivering on tight deadlines
- Excellent time management and prioritisation
- Understanding of HSEQ management systems, compliance and reporting procedures
