Commercial/Contractual
- To ensure full understanding of Siemens Energy and the project contractual quality requirements.
- To protect Siemens Energy’s interests by maintaining a QA system and records aligned with Siemens Energy standards and the requirements of the Customer’s contract specification (if any).
- To support the project delivery to the Customer’s satisfaction and Siemens Energy contractual position by identifying and seeking rectification of quality shortfalls.
Communication
- To understand the interests of Siemens Energy and to reconcile these interests with those of the client.
- To foster positive company/customer relationships.
- To collaborate closely with the Customer’s representative on all matters relating to quality.
- Participate in the required project meetings.
- Liaise with sub-contractors on all matters relating to quality
- Customer satisfaction and no customer complaints relating to the quality of work (by Siemens Energy or Sub-contractors).
Project Quality Documentation
- Together with the project team, compile the documentation required for the final outage report for issue within deadline specified in the Contract.
- To review the close out ITPs and IFRs, ensuring all activities and sections are signed as complete by both Siemens Energy and the Customer representative.
- Finalise and update ITP or procedure templates with any lessons learnt from the outage
Service Excellence
- All quality documentation completed and uploaded to the Siemens Energy Sharepoint
- No non-conformances or QIS incidents related to Siemens Energy

- Lead by example and show a visible commitment to providing a safe work environment and an injury free workplace.

Fit For Duty

- Understanding of Siemens Energy processes and procedures
- Perform Project Engineering on site as part of a larger Project Engineering team (large project)
- Perform Project Engineering on site, working independently on a small project
- Familiarisation with Siemens Energy Core fleets and offerings – including hands on training and theoretical/ familiarisation trainings, both in person and online learning
- Develop Core site skills including basic NDT, basic hands on skills matrix and Root Cause Analysis fundamentals
> 2 years experience
- Complete Project Management fundamentals training
- Training and development within the area of quality management
- Continuous improvement of site quality systems and processes and digitalisation
- Continued development in specific areas of interest and expertise, beneficial to Site Project Engineering and quality management
- Investigation and support of quality incidents to improve site engineering practices
- Technical support for Customers in consultation with fleet technical leads
- Training of personnel on quality documentation and fundamentals, when and as required
- Site lead for Project Engineering on a large scale project outage
Onsite Expectations
- Ensure the Siemens Energy procedures for Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and Inspection and Finding reports (IFR) are followed
ITP and Record/Protocol Sheets
- Ensure the Siemens Energy (local and Center of Competence (CoC)) site supervision are completing and signing all relevant protocols, forms, Inspection and test plans throughout the Project Execution
- Ensuring quality documentation is completed fully and correctly by Siemens Energy Supervisors during execution
- Support the Supervisors to ensure completion of the master copy of ITPs and record sheets, during project execution
- To ensure in liaison with Supervisor(s) that all witness points and hold points are attended by the customer’s representative and the ITPs signed off when the activity occurs.
- To ensure that all ITP inspection and hold points are signed off in the field copy when the activity occurs.
- To ensure that all ITP inspection and hold points are signed off by the supervisors in the master copy.
- To maintain filed copies of ITPs and record sheets during execution of the project
- Ensure all record sheets are signed and completed and any values outside of the nominated specifications are raised for approval where required
- To transfer the data from the field copy of the record sheets to the master digital copy of the record sheets (when and as required).
IFRs
- Together with Siemens Energy technical leads, CoC and Supervisors, raise IFRs for any findings during the outage
- Ensure all IFRs are acknowledgement by the Customer before any rectification works are performed
Other
- Provide technical project support on site for Project Manager, Site Superintendent and Site Supervisors
- To discuss the progress of inspections and records with the Supervisor(s)
- Ensure that the corrective actions have ITPs (as required) and that work aligns with required standards
- Receive ITPs from subcontractors and monitor them including witness and hold points.
- Monitor off site work in regards to machining, QA documentation etc and subcontractor ITPs as required
- Ensure all Change Orders and Variations have ITPs (if required).
- Ensure all Lessons learnt are captured on the ITP as the project is progressed
- Ensure all ITP’s and record sheets are signed off prior to any commissioning works
Offsite Expectations
- Assisting in the preparation of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) – ensuring all contractual scope items and OEM standard requirements are followed
- Ensure the ITP reflects all drawings, protocols and record sheets required for the workscope and that all are available before the project begins
- Ensure an Inspection and Test Plan exists and approved by designated fleet technical lead and Customer Representative. for all activities, both base scope and any variation works, if required on site
- Lead/Assist the preparation, release and implementation of the project Quality Plan in accordance with the Siemens Energy guidelines and procedures and the contractual requirements.
- Review the ITP together with Supervisors and the Customer to clarify Hold Points, customer responsibilities etc.
- To collate necessary procedures and drawings in conjunction with the Supervisors and ensure all are current for use.
- Ensure all Lessons learnt are captured on the ITP template after project completion
- Save all documentation on appropriate location in the project folder/s
- Assist in the continuous improvement of Site processes and procedures digitalisation initiatives
