Site Engineer – Rail

Company Overview:

Position Overview:
Our client is currently seeking a motivated and dynamic Site Engineer to join their growing team based out of South Brisbane, Queensland. This presents an exciting opportunity for experienced professionals or recent graduates looking to kickstart their career in the rail sector. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and delivering various rail engineering projects, contributing to the continued success and expansion of our client's business.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of rail engineering projects.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to address technical challenges and ensure project milestones are met.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including reports, drawings, and construction plans.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to site personnel, ensuring adherence to quality and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Previous experience in the rail sector is advantageous, although recent graduates with a strong interest in rail engineering are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, Trimble, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to upholding safety and quality assurance standards.
