We are an established general insurance rectification building company and are exclusively focused on partnering with insurance companies to complete works on their behalf. We offer a complete range of specialised commercial, domestic, and industrial building repair services. Due to the continued growth of our business, we are now seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Forman to join our Sydney team.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Liaising with our clients and customers
• Responding to internal and external queries within the required timeframes
• The upkeep and entry of all relevant client information and communication
• Skills in completing accurate variations and submissions
• Required to attend site inspections and oversee building repairs
• Proficient in preparing scopes and estimates

About the Role

As a bright and energetic self-starter, you will have the ability to work under minimal supervision. You must have the ability to respond quickly and professionally to new and changing situations. You will also have demonstrated skills in taking initiative, prioritising, and multi-tasking in a fast-moving environment. Must have current driver's license.

• understand the scope, contract and project time frames
• establish the site in accordance with relevant WHS requirements
• induct subcontractors and site employees
• deliver daily and fortnightly programmes
• coordinate the trades and sequencing of work
• manage the subcontractors and staff, ensuring quality and safety
• record daily site activities in the site diary
• coordinate defect rectification

Essential Attributes

• A high level of numeracy and attention to detail
• Highly developed verbal communication skills
• Great communicator, leader and team builder
• Minimum 10 years experience 
• Problem-solving and negotiation skills
• The ability to remain calm under pressure
• Have excellent organizational and time management skills
• A high level of motivation and ability to think outside of the square
• The ability to work autonomously and in a team
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Suite products
• White card
• Open Builders License / Supervisors License (not mandatory but desirable)
• MUST have previous experience in the Building and Construction industry and a good knowledge of the current Australian building standards.
• Experience in general insurance work is desirable
• Very strong computer skills are mandatory
