About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our passionate Queensland Design & Construction team for an upcoming project in Mackay. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is delivered in accordance with the drawings and specifications, and the quality described in the contract documents is met, consistent with the client requirements.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to make a significant impact on the success of our project.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in the formulation of overall work program and programs for each section of the work to be completed.
- Participate in reviewing the program on a weekly basis with the Project Manager.
- Ensure all aspects of the site and work to be completed is consistent with the agreed Project Safety Plan.
- Carry out site safety inductions for all employees and sub contractors.
- Ensure that equipment used on site is in a safe operating condition
- Initiate, control and check at regular intervals, all set outs whether carried out by Ahrens staff or subcontractors.
- Co-ordinate the activities of all subcontractors by regular briefings and checks.
- Ensure the subcontractors fulfill the works required by then under their scope of works included in their contracts. Notify the Project Manager of any variances immediately.
- Each delivery of goods is to be physically checked and counted for quality and quantity.
- Ensure that the site is secured and all temporary fences are in place at the completion of each work day.
Skills and Experience
- Trade background
- Senior first aid certificate
- Ability to read and interpret drawings/plans and specifications.
- Experience in construction and scheduling
- Basic Computer Competencies in outlook, word, excel and project
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Current drivers licence
- BSA Supervisors Licence
