We are seeking a Registered Nurse or Paramedic to provide primary and emergency healthcare and occupational health management. This is a fixed-term Night Shift role, commencing after credentialing and onboarding. The initial FIFO period will be 8 July to the end of August 2024, with a second FIFO commencing November 2024 expected to finish March 2025.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- providing initial emergency response
- ensuring medications, including restricted drugs, are managed and checked
- treating and rehabilitating personnel with occupational injuries and/or medical conditions or problems
- providing primary health care to site personnel
- responding to call outs on site, including ‘after hours’ calls
- coordinating and delivering training with assistance from Aspen Medical RTO to include (but not limited to) Provide First Aid, Low Voltage Rescue, CPR, Advanced Resuscitation and Heat Stress
- coordinating and delivery of on-site Drug and Alcohol testing
What we are looking for:
Essential
- Qualification as a Registered Nurse or Paramedic (or equivalent)
- Current unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Up-to-date ALS certificate
- Up-to-date Trauma certificate
Highly Desirable
- Completion of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
