Design & Build have been tasked with assisting one of South Australia's fast growing commercial construction companies in finding their new Site Safety Officer. The successful candidate will join a growing team in administering and enforcing the companies safety values on one of their multi-res projects.
About the Role:
- Drive and implement our client’s safety, environment, and quality practices.
- Assist with regular audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Collate detailed reports for the client, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Support contractors in developing and implementing project safety management plans.
- Communicate any non-conformances promptly and effectively to the site senior leadership team.
- Complete daily pre-starts, inductions, toolboxes, SWMS reviews, and site inspections.
- Certification IV in Work Health and Safety or higher.
- 2-4 years of experience in construction HSE
- Experience working in high-rise construction highly sought after
- Trade background essential
- Proven experience in participating in audits, demonstrating strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Advanced computer literacy, particularly with MS Office suite and safety management systems.
