Lead and drive operational excellence in our quarry with a focus on safety, compliance, and efficiency. Mackay Regional Council is seeking an experienced Site Senior Executive to join our dynamic team on a permanent full-time basis based at the Mirani Depot.
About this opportunity:
The Site Senior Executive (Supervisor Quarry) ensures that Council's quarry operations meet operational and legislative requirements under the Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act. As the Site Senior Executive (SSE) representative for Council, the position ensures the safety and wellbeing of workers, contractors and visitors of the quarries. Under general direction, the role ensures that the materials that are being produced by the crushing operations meet the required specification. This also includes material supplied by commercial suppliers and provides material testing services and technical support to the Civil Operations Program
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- Appointment by Resources Safety & Health Queensland (RSHQ) to act in the role of Site Senior Executive (SSE).
- Certificate IV Surface Extraction.
- Qualifications in Materials Testing.
- QLD "C" Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent.
- Construction Industry General Induction Card (White Card)
- Practical experience in leading and managing workteams.
- Substantial experience as a Soil Tester in the civil engineering works field.
