Volume Home building construction supervisor to join their busy construction team in Melbourne's busy South-Eastern suburbs.Examples of potential suburbs you might be managing in the South-East include: Cranbourne, Clyde, Langwarrin, Berwick. The company always aims to keep its
Site Supervisors in areas as close to home as possible to reduce travel time and provide a better work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:- Manage a number of new home builds in construction concurrently.
- Up to on average 12-15 houses in construction at any one time on average
- Combination of mostly single and some double-storey homes
- Allocate materials and trades to job sites.
- Ensure timely construction of new homes within budget
- Effectively communicate with clients, trades and management in a professional manner.
- Construction of new homes are carried out safely and comply with company processes and procedures.
- Inspecting completed projects to ensure a high standard of quality
- Maintaining and updating company systems
- Reporting to management regarding onsite activity
- Negotiating with subcontractors and coordinating onsite works
- Identifying and resolving problems throughout the construction process.
Role Requirements:
- At least 2 years experience as a Construction Site Supervisor within the Volume Home building industry.
- Tertiary qualifications within building and construction
- Trade background will be highly advantageous
- Demonstrated experience within the construction sector with excellent building knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to build a strong rapport with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Proven track record of problem-solving
- Team player
- Excellent IT skills and computer literacy with construction-specific software packages.
- Commitment to WHS principles and practices
