JD Ross has parternered with a global construction engineering company in search for a Site Technician to work on a permanent contract on their Solar Farm based in Coleambally, NSW. This role is a valuable opportunity to develop yourself in Operations & Maintenance of large-scale solar farms, a fast-growing subset of the renewables industry in Australia.
Site Technician - Operations & Maintenance - Solar Farm - Coleambally, NSW
Roster: 10-4, 76 hours per fortnight, On-call duties, time-in-lieu reimbursements

Key responsibilities:
• Preventive and corrective maintenance tasks including AC, DC electrical systems and mechanical systems.
• Management of subcontractors.
• Supervision of visitors on site.
• Conduct all activities in accordance with BYCA Health, Safety, Quality and Environment systems.
Experience & Key Characteristics:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical industries.
• Experience in Solar Operations & Maintenance or EPC highly desirable.
• Operation, inspection and preventative maintenance of power station and ancillary plant.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment.
• Knowledge of HV, SCADA systems, IT, photovoltaics, industrial automation is highly desirable.
• Independent, organised and self-learning.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in report writing.
• Must have basic computing skills, including use of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Teams).
Education/Licences:
• Must be licensed to perform electrical work in NSW.
• Must hold an uninhibited driving licence.
• HV qualification highly desirable.
• Plant operating licences highly desirable.
• First aid, low voltage rescue and CPR training is appreciated but not mandatory (training/refreshers will be provided).
