The RoleA passion for sustainability coupled with previous farming experience and knowledge provide an experienced Cropping Farm Hand the opportunity to join our client's recently acquired broadacre property approximately 45 kilometres South of Trangie in NSW.
Your prospective employers profitably manage various agricultural properties that produce a variety of produce, including cereal, oil seed, pulse crops, sheep, and olives, utilising sustainable and regenerative practices whilst storing carbon. As this is a newer farm to the company, they are still transitioning to regenerative practices and are currently running trials focused on sustainability whilst converting the property, which covers 6,500HA and has secured water access and will harvest Wheat, Barley, Canola and Faba beans.
Although contractors are currently engaged for sowing and harvest, the successful candidate will be involved in all other facets of the cropping cycle, including spraying, whilst the transition is completed. You will be mechanically minded and undertake general maintenance and repair on the machinery fleet, which, although modern, is of mixed makes and models, alongside two other full-time staff on the property.

The Ideal Candidate
The candidate required for this role will have recent experience in other cropping enterprises and have a strong interest in regenerative or sustainable farming practices, as well as the following attributes:
- Ability to undertake all cropping cycle elements.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Strong communication skills
- Spraying experience
- Chem cert
- HC licence
