Located 12km south of Townsville, a major gateway to Queensland's world-renowned Great Barrier Reef, the JBS Townsville processing facility is JBS Australia's most northern operation. Cattle are sourced from a wide supply area including the Northern Territory, north and north-western Queensland and packed into the AMH brand, the most trusted name in beef. The facility employs approximately 430 employees and processes approximately 900 head per day, operating 4 days/week.
About the Role
Our Townsville Plant currently has a number of opportunities for Skilled Meat Workers (Boners, Slicers, Slaughter Persons) to join our team. The Townsville processing facility is a 4-day operation processing approx. 900 head of cattle per day.
This is a unique opportunity to join a global organisation with a local community feel. Positions are full time with the potential to earn $54,000 (commensurate with experience and skill levels applied) or more with additional overtime.
A $3,000 Sign-On & Retention bonus is available. *Conditions apply.
About You
- Previous experience (ideally 2-3 years) in Boning, Slicing or Slaughtering duties required
- Relevant qualification (Cert II/ III Meat Processing) advantageous but not essential
- Proven high level of knife sharpening skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Quality Requirements
- Ability to work within a team environment with the ability to take direction
- Good communication skills
- Demonstrated integrity and good presentation
