ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE
As a Sleep Scientist at Werribee, you will work in a highly-regarded team of sleep physicians and scientists in our NATA-accredited sleep unit; and you will join a wider family of medical, nursing, allied health, and support staff at the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee (SVPHW).
This role will be casual with availability for Monday night shifts and other additional cover if required.
You will be responsible for:
- Performing sleep studies according to laboratory protocols.
- Setting up and acquiring of sleep studies.
- Ensuring excellent signals throughout the study.
- Educating patients about sleep health and sleep therapies.
- CPAP education, mask fitting, and optimisation.
ABOUT YOU
We will consider applications all candidates with the required qualifications, attributes, and skills.
Required qualification- Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant area e.g. health science, applied science, physiology, allied health.
- Working independently and in teams.
- Therapeutic communication.
- Confident with health technology and IT.
- Problem solving and critical thinking.
- First aid and life support.
- Experience with polysomnography sleep studies and sleep disorders.
- Membership of the Australasian Sleep Science Association and the Australian Council for Clinical Physiology.
