SSER Group PTY LTD require a Small Engine Mechanic to join their team in Kunda Park, Queensland.

The main focus is the maintenance, testing and repairing of Small Engines, fixed and mobile diesel plant equipment, including the tasks, duties and responsibilities noted below:

• Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in Small Engines, such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, water pumps, concreting equipment, generators etc;
• Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers and providing comprehensive diagnostic and safety reports for Small Engine repairs conducted;
• Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, chains, blades and other components, and checking parts;
• Inspecting machines to ensure optimal function and carrying out the remedial work required to repair the Small Engine;
• Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, spark plug replacement, lubrication, carburetor and fuel tank inspection/clean and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of Small Engine machines;
• Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired;
• Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, referring to service manuals, if required;
• Responding to Small Engine machinery breakdown service calls;
• Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance.

To be considered you will need a level of skill commensurate with a Certificate III and at least 2 years of relevant post-qualification employment experience as a Small Engine Mechanic OR at least three years of relevant Small Engine Mechanical employment experience.

This is a full time position, an immediate start is available. A remuneration package of $70,000 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidate.
