Our client is one of the leading providers of construction and engineering services in Australia. They are currently seeking a SMP Engineer for a FIFO position with shutdown or pre shutdown experience.

Main Duties

The main duties of this position are:

• Process material take-offs
• Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordinating deliveries
• Manufactures Data Register (MDR)
• Arrange method statements
• Organise project testing requirements
• Compose weekly progress reports
• Update schedules as required
• Ensure relevant field inspection checklists are completed and signed in conjunction with client representatives
• Understand and implement quality control techniques
• Maintain company standards for Quality Assurance purposes
• Present neat documentation, correspondence and records as requested
• Provide accurate daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed.
• Perform other general duties that may be necessary to suit operational requirements as directed

Essentials

• Tertiary qualifications in Structural or Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Previous knowledge or work on Civil Construction projects; ideally in the mining, oil & gas sector
• Proficient knowledge in all Microsoft Office Suites
