We are currently seeking a suitably experienced Rail Project Engineer - GTS Rail, Track & Civil Team for an initial 9 months (strong potential for extension for the right candidate).
This position is based in Perth, working in the Perth CBD, with site visits as required.
Responsibilities
- Conducting technical design reviews and commenting on compliance to std
- Providing SME support to the operational areas for complex technical issues that they have been unable to resolve
- Updating technical standards and internal documents
- Attending risk assessments and other risk based reviews
- Monitoring and assess changes in the rail from a technical track perspective
- Adhering to the Systems Engineering Processes, in consultation with the Design and Engineering Managers, including the requirements Management Plan and Requirements Management framework and processes
- Maintenance of system and subsystem requirements to demonstrate that the requirements are adequately itemised, understood and that plans are in place to design and construct solutions to meet the requirements
- Change management and RFI handling
- Delivery and support of effective project execution
Required Experience
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil/Structural) or preferred
- Min 3+ years' demonstrated experience in Rail or Resources Industry (desired)
- Track maintenance or construction and track design experience
- Familiar with Rail infrastructure and or Software projects would be preferred.
- Knowledge of railroad track maintenance and track renewal practices (Desirable)
- Strong experience in project delivery and project governance.
- Worked with BHP systems and procedures (preferred)
- Knowledge of rail road track maintenance and track renewal practices.
- Strong experience in project delivery and project governance.
- Medium to major projects experience
- Competent in MS Office Suite particularly MS Excel
- Document management
