The Opportunity:
This highly reputable accounting firm is a well-known organisation in the public practice industry with multiple offices across Australia. Due to continual growth, they are now in need of an experienced SMSF specialist to lead their SMSF division.
About The Role:
Reporting to a CEO, you will administer and manage a portfolio of funds (approx. 250) of varying in complexities. Duties include:
- Review compliance documents (financial statements and tax returns)
- Allocate work to and manage the workflow of junior accountants
- Ensure jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines
- Manage a portfolio of clients and maintain strong client relationships
- Ensure clients are made aware of their compliance obligations
- Assist Directors and Managers with advisory services
- Liaise closely with on-site financial advisor and external stakeholders
Your Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working with self-managed super funds in an Australian accounting firm
- Experienced in managing a team
- Experienced in managing a portfolio of clients
- We will consider tax accountants with SMSF experience wanting to specialise in SMSF Accounting
- Experience with BGL 360 is highly regarded
