The Client
This multi-office firm has been operating for over 40 years at various locations in Brisbane/Queensland. They hold approximately 50 staff all together and they are highly experienced and knowledgeable in the industry.
The Role
They are now looking to take on an SMSF Manager to join their experienced and professional staff. Manage a small team and 300+ SMSFs. The opportunity to progress and grow is massive, and they offer a range of employee rewards.
The Duties
- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for self-managed superannuation fund clients
- Liaising with various providers and statutory authorities on behalf of clients
- Processing transactions for trustees, benefits transfers, contributions, and benefits payments on behalf of clients
- Ensuring jobs are completed effectively by meeting technical standards and deadlines
- Ensuring clients are made aware of their compliance obligations
- Liaising with their financial planning arm in relation to providing advice to their self-managed superannuation clients
- Building and maintaining client relationships over time
- Manage a team of smsf accountants and review work
The Applicant
- Ideally 4-5+ years’ experience in SMSF Accounting
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field
- Ideally CA/CPA/SSA qualification in place
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
