About the role

The Senior Coordinator, Peer Support is responsible for the state-wide coordination and implementation of peer support programs, identifying peer and program needs, supporting the development and evaluation of programs and managing volunteers.

This role is a Permanent Full-time role of 37.5 hours/week based in the Brisbane office.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced and sensitive professional who is self-motivated and highly organised, with well-developed communication skills and a strong commitment to providing cancer specific peer supports.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Essential Skills:
Experience in volunteer management, including recruitment, training, coordination, recognition, and support
Qualifications in nursing, allied health, community services or a related field with relevant experience
An understanding of the impact that the diagnosis and treatment of cancer has on individuals, their partners, and families
Experience in working closely with people and communities affected by cancer
Experience in coordinating and reviewing community programs
Experience in program development, including the ability to identifying future individual and program needs, undertake consultations, design programs and evaluate these
Experience developing, facilitating, and reviewing training programs
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and build and maintain relationships and networks
Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Ability to organise, manage and prioritise multiple tasks
Ability to use sound judgement and manage workloads in tight deadlines
Demonstrated experience in the application and use of Microsoft office suite
Current Qld Drivers Licence

Desirable Skills:
Experience developing, facilitating and reviewing support groups
