yourtown powers services focussing on mental health and wellbeing, long-term unemployment, prevention of youth suicide; child protection; and family and domestic violence prevention and response. Without the support of yourtown’s charitable Art Union ticket buyers, many of our services would not exist.

Are you an enthusiastic and digitally savvy creative who gets a thrill out of engaging young people with your Social media content? We have an exciting opportunity for you! As our Social Media and Content Creator, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing yourtown Australia, yourtown Prize Homes, Kids Helpline and Parentline's brand visibility and voice across digital platforms and third-party providers.

Very soon, we will be standing up a new Social media management tool to look after 18+ accounts, and we want you to set us up for success. You will be integral in establishing our enterprise-wide Social media best practices, workflows, unified inbox management across multiple brands.

You will engage with key stakeholders to create authentic, engaging content that resonates with a diverse audience, including videos, articles, polls, and infographics across our platforms like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat and more. Having a strong commercial yet creative mind will be important for success.

Your role will include:

• Content creation: Working with key stakeholders to deliver creative content solutions across digital and print, that aligns audience needs with business goals.
Social media management: Owning, planning, creating, scheduling, and reporting on all Social media content, ensuring it aligns to our brand values and business strategic direction.
• Campaign planning and execution: Delivering enterprise-wide campaigns, including planning, running, and optimising paid social.
• Trend forecasting and planning: Be across the content calendar as well as what is trending to deliver proactive and reactive content that engages a variety of audiences.
• Change driver: Be involved in planning and execution of new platforms and relevant technology to aid the delivery of content, including new opportunities to meet KPI’s and coaching others to success.

what we are looking for

You will be an experienced creator who has proven success in managing Social media accounts and paid campaigns.

In addition, you will also bring:

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in similar role and Bachelor level qualifications in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations or similar.
• Experience with Social media scheduling, listening and ad management and reporting tools.
• Experience publishing through web content management systems and a fundamental knowledge of SEO principles and tactics.
• Experience using editing tools like Canva, CapCut, Adobe CC to produce high level graphics and video.
• Understand what content and trends are relevant to a variety of audiences and know how to reflect this through the messaging and creative delivered while staying true to brand.
• Be an excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to gain insights and inform decisions.
