About the role
With the expansion and growth of Mushroom Group’s live entertainment division, this sought-after role is to help take our Social Media game to the next level.
Reporting to the Social Media & Digital Strategist and working with the individual project marketing leads, the Social Media & Digital Coordinator will focus on developing and executing the Social Media and newsletter strategy of some of the Mushroom Group's largest companies.
This includes Roundhouse Entertainment (who are behind iconic winery concert series A Day on the Green), Mushroom Events (who curate and produce the entertainment at the AFL Grand Final and Australian Grand Prix amongst many other projects) and Mushroom Management (who manage some of the country's most acclaimed artists and other talent), alongside supporting the Digital Strategist in rolling out the social and newsletter strategy of the wider Mushroom Group itself. There is also scope to work on some of Mushroom's many other exciting brands and projects when capacity allows, with long term growth opportunities in this space.
This role is suited to Social Media coordinators that are looking to progress to the next stage of their careers within an exciting industry and great working environment. They’ll be proficient with all aspects of the Social Media landscape including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X and TikTok, and also have an understanding of eDM newsletter strategy and database management. This person will be entrenched in all aspects of the Social Media and eDM roll out from ideation and briefing content creation through to day-to-day management of each event from announcement through to post-event phase.
This position will be based on-site in Albert Park with some flexibility to work remotely.
Sounds like you? If so, you will have the following.
- 2 - 3 years of professional experience in a similar role
- Experience working within in music, entertainment or event industries looked upon favourably though not essential
- Tertiary degree in marketing, communications or PR looked upon favourably though not essential
- Fluent in all things Social Media - everything from ideation and content ideas to day-to-day management including scheduling posts, publishing stories, Facebook event creation, moderating user comments and so on
- Proven track record of successful Social Media content ideation, community development and growth
- Experience with eDM newsletter creation and database management
- Proficiency in the content creation process and has extensive experience in design and video briefs
- A knack for copywriting across various brands/channels with an appropriate tone of voice for each audience
- Track record for best practice content and user engagement
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Premiere is looked upon favourably
- Ideally you will be someone who’s creative, passionate about digital, action oriented, a self-starter with a keen eye for new trends
- Establish metrics, report, generate insights if requested and share these to improve our digital offering
- Being a huge music fan definitely wouldn’t hurt!
