Our client is an iconic Australian sporting goods brand with a global presence. They are passionate about providing high-quality products as well as educating their consumers about health & safety protocols as it relates to sport and activity.
The Role:
Reporting to the eCommerce Manager and working closely with the Marketing Coordinator, the Social Media & eCommerce Coordinator will be responsible for leading efforts to enhance brand awareness and engagement through media channels. Your work will align closely with the brand values and strategy, contributing to overall marketing initiatives across Australia and New Zealand.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in localising the global marketing calendar and executing plans aligned with the overall marketing strategy; provide support for wider marketing activities such as photoshoots, events, conferences and web activities
- Manage daily engagement across the brand’s Social Media accounts (Facebook, Instagram), ensuring alignment across strategic direction and brand values
- Drive Social Media engagement and growth, including paid social campaigns
- Assist in managing local brand Ambassadors, including tracking/measuring output and planning/briefing content
- Conduct monthly reporting and insights for social performance
- Set up new email (EDM) campaign journeys and optimize automation campaigns to drive revenue growth; conduct testing and quality assurance for email campaigns
- Review and upload user-generated content to website using Yotpo
- Create compelling blogs to improve SEO rankings
- Proactively flag and troubleshoot website issues
- Assist in managing customer support, responding to comments and provide accurate product information to consumers as needed
- 1-3 years of proven experience in a Social Media-focused role, preferably within a B2C business within apparel, sporting goods or FMCG industries
- Tertiary qualification/degree in Marketing or related field
- Extensive knowledge in Social Media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and reporting systems
- Proficiency in CRM and email marketing
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite/Canva and Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills which can translate into customer-facing copywriting and content creation
- Salary $65-70k plus super
