Role Overview:
Time Out Melbourne is looking for a Social Media Executive to work across our paid and organic campaigns. They are to provide media support, strategies and implementation support for the business. The ideal candidate will have a creative eye, solid written communication skills and will work closely with video to create engaging content.
This role depends upon excellent interpersonal communication, analytical, data and organisation skills–all of which Time Out expects will develop and improve with time in the role. While this is not a primarily client-facing role, there will be events and interactions where you will be actively shooting social content and meeting with a range of clients and stakeholders and acting as a brand ambassador.
Key responsibilities:
Facebook ads manager implementation and reporting (FB Blueprint a bonus)
Proven ability to provide optimisations and strategies to improve campaign performance.
Social media content creation and production–ability to write social copy in brand voice and perform basic design (Canva)
TikTok ads manager (or past experience with Snapchat)
Competency with Excel
Reporting & analysis skills
Experience with scheduling tools (Echobox, Sked, Creator Studio desirable)
Organic social strategy and experience across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok)
Ability to identify and engage with Social Media trends in a way that is relevant for the brand voice
Up-to-date with online accessibility requirements, laws, technology updates and best practices on Social Media
Skills & Experience:
Relevant bachelor degree or 3-5 years social & paid advert experience across the media industry or agency
A strong track record implementing and executing successful campaigns
An understanding of key tools required
Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills and organisation.
Meticulous when it comes to detail and great problem solving skills.
Able to work directly with all clients to achieve their KPIs and expectations.
Ability to work under pressure, adapt, overcome hurdles and think strategically
A growth mindset and a drive to learn and grow within the business
Understanding of what motivates others to make decisions
