About The Role
In this role, you’ll develop and manage the execution of highly effective external communications to grow a portfolio of FMCG brands. You will manage external risks and build corporate and brand reputation. You’ll wear many hats, from proactive media relations and Social Media strategy to crisis communications, as this role will also help protect the integrity of the parent company and its portfolio of iconic brands, ensuring trust is maintained with the Australian public. Within this role, you’ll be accountable for managing the Public Relations & Brand Communications Manager, PR Associate, and the Social Media & Content Lead. You will be responsible for training and development to ensure we have a unified and consistent way of implementing best-in-class PR, Talent, and Social Communications activities across owned, earned, and paid media. This includes setting the strategy, creating content, and executing Social Media advertising to support the growth agenda.
Qualifications and Experience
- 7+ years of Public Relations and Corporate Affairs experience
- Previous experience leading a small to medium-sized team in PR, Influencer and Communications
- Exceptional stakeholder management experience (agency and account management experience highly desirable)
- Proven experience developing PR campaigns end to end in line with the broader marketing plans
- Ability to build and manage the PR and Communications activity calendar across multiple brands
- Strong media and influencer relations skills within the news and lifestyle space
- Social media strategy experience highly desirable but not essential
- A solid understanding of Social Media fundamentals
- Bachelor's Degrees in Marketing, Journalism, or similar
- Ideally some experience in corporate communications, crisis management, briefing spokespeople and senior leaderrship team members etc.
