Job description

Santa Maria College is a leading Catholic girls'school, founded by the Sisters of Mercy with 1,280 students from Years 5-12 including 150 boarders.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Marketing or Public Relations Graduate. The successful applicant will be part of a dynamic and committed Community Relations team.

This role is a full-time 1 year contract, commencing in June 2024.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following essential skills:

  • Model and maintain the Catholic and Mercy ethos and traditions of the College
  • Tertiary degree in relevant/ related field
  • Experience in managing Social Media accounts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level computer literacy and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and database software (Microsoft suite)
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Enthusiastic and energetic attitude
  • Demonstrated understanding and respect for people across a range of backgrounds and cultures

Desirable but not essential:

  • Photography experience with both DSLR camera and mobile phone

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • A current and validated National Criminal History Record Check (as issued by the Western Australian Department of Education)
  • Working With Children Check.
  • Completion of Child Protection Training on appointment
