Traverse Alpine Group, a leading hospitality operator is seeking a Social Media & Public Relations Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a company that is dedicated to delivering exceptional food & beverage services and hotel experiences in remote areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing the company's online presence, executing Social Media campaigns, and increasing brand awareness. The Social Media & Public Relations Manager will report to the Executive Team and Directors.
This candidiate will ideally live in the surrounding area of Falls Creek & Alpine Shire and work remotely and on site as required in our venues. The succesful applicant would be responsible for the Social Media across the Group’s portfolio which includes Astra Falls Creek, Cloud 9, Frying Pan Inn, Huski Kitchen, Murmeli Lodge, Dicky Knees, Elm Dining in Bright and The Boat Shed Lake Hume in Albury/Wodonga.
We are looking for an experienced and creative Social Media & Public Relations Manager to join our team. As a Social Media & Public Relations Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy and weekly posts in a manner that increases our online presence, consumer engagement and clearly delivers on each venue's brand personality. The role is being offered on a part-time basis of 20 - 30 hours per week and will require a flexible approach to set work hours and flexibility is key.
Social Media Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Develop, implement and manage our Social Media strategy Spearheading the development large Social Media campaigns Scheduling and engaging in day-to-day Social Media posting Monitoring customer requests on Social Media and booking platforms Responding to reviews on various online portals Creating dynamic written, graphic, and video content Ensuring the branding is consistent across all media Creating content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites, and encourages audience participation. Communication with design team to work on generating new content Manage and oversee Social Media content Measure the success of each Social Media campaign Stay up to date with the latest Social Media best practices and technologies Use Social Media marketing tools and scheduling software Attend educational conferences Network with the local business community Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing Collaborate with a view to aligning to Sales and Marketing initiatives Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization Communicate with industry professionals via Social Media to create a strong network Train and Develop Venue managers to engage in the Social Media Strategy Provide constructive feedback
Public Relations Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Assisting the team with large projects, events, and community management Creating and writing EDM content and press releases Supporting the management team with day-to-day tasks Engaging with new and proposed stakeholders Working with journalists and developing relationships. Website creation and revision Work across print, radio and digital media
Skills and qualifications:
Love of the snow and the alpine environment Advanced Social Media skills Excellent communication skills Ability to multitask Organisational skills Can do, positive attitude and able to use initiative Strong Copywriting skills Public Relations experience WordPress Experience Mailchimp experience Basic graphic design skills 2 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role Social Media Strategist using Social Media for brand awareness and impressions Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Tik Tok, Google+ and other Social Media best practices Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research Good understanding of Social Media KPIs Familiarity with web design and publishing Excellent multitasking skills Critical thinker and problem-solving skills Team player Good time-management skills Great interpersonal and communication skills BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field well regarded but not essential
Experience:
Experience in writing copy and regular Social Media posting for business Experience working as part of a small team is desired but not essential Previous experience with Social Media platforms and scheduling software Marketing or Social Media Marketing Degree preferred but not essential Excellent technology skills Good networking skills Public Relations skills, radio, digital and print. Requirements
2+ years of experience in Social Media management and Public Relations Knowledge of Social Media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and LinkedIn Excellent communication and writing skills Strong organizational and project management skills Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders Knowledge and experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
