The Social Science Writer role provides authoritative advice and science writing services on complex issues regarding the condition of Victoria's natural environment and Victoria's progress on ecologically sustainable development, being a key member of the Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability's (CES) team.
This role involves working collaboratively with a broad range of internal and external key stakeholders from across government, business, academia, non-government organisations and the broader community.
A PhD qualification in a Social Science discipline is mandatory.
The successful candidate will be a principal writer and contributor to the State of the Marine and Coastal Environment 2024 Report and the State of the Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks 2024 Report.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- PhD qualification in a Social Science discipline is mandatory; and
- Demonstrated experience or science writing qualifications (e.g., academic thesis) is desirable.
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 18 months. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
