Level 4Student Educator position at RPA Hospital, has a clinical load and coordinates the student placement experience and supports the field educators in the department. It is expected the applicant will have experience in student education and at least 7 years of clinical experience from the time of graduation and provide:
- Comprehensive psychosocial assessments, case management and counselling, offering emotional support to patients and carers.
- Support patients and carers during their admission with care coordination and advocacy.
- Provide supervision to staff in the Social Work Department.
- Participate in the afterhours roster for RPA hospital and respond to the hospital within one hour of being called.
Ideal candidate
- Currently holds a bachelor degree or equivalent in Social Work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
- Has extensive experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring and development of junior staff and students; and demonstrated understanding of adult learning styles and teaching methods.
