AddressMARS Recruitment are seeking an experienced Social Worker for a 12-week fixed-term contract in Southern NSW.
Schedule: Full time
Length: 12 weeks with possible extension.
The purpose of this role is to deliver Social Work services within the inpaitent unit. This role involves delivering high-quality clinical Social Work to enhance the health and wellbeing of patients in the Mental Health Inpatient Services. The position requires a Social Worker who has previous hospital experience, preferentially within an inpatient ward and has independent professional judgement to address complex situations.
This includes:
- Detailed clinical assessment, patient education, therapeutic intervention and/or management and assistance with discharge planning within an interprofessional context.
- Clinical education, supervision of observational students and allied health assistants, and assistance with supervision of undergraduate students.
- Participation and contribution to quality improvement and research activities under the guidance of senior staff
- Delivering advanced clinical Social Work to improve the health and wellbeing of Mental Health Inpatient Services patients.
- Have the capacity to show advanced clinical reasoning skills and provide high-quality clinical care with minimal supervision.
- Systematically organise your workload to ensure timely and effective completion of all responsibilities.
- Offer recovery-focused and trauma-informed Social Work services to mental health inpatients and their wider care team.
- Show cultural competence and a commitment to improving health for all demographics and cultures.
About You:
- Hold a tertiary qualification as a Social Worker and be eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Hold extensive knowledge and experience in Mental Health Social Work, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Hold a national police clearance or be willing to obtain
- Hold a WWCC or be willing to obtain
- Provide COVID-19 Vaccination evidence
- Hold a current driver's license.
Salary:
- $55-$60 per hour, depending on experience level.
- Accommodation and travel allowance can be provided.
