- An exciting opportunity exists to join NSW Health’s largest Mental Health service. Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) Mental Health Services delivers mental health care across the HNELHD which covers metropolitan, regional and rural areas of NSW. It
adult and older people. * HNEMH are committed to their staff and provide orientation, training and education, professional development, clinical and profession supervision, and run an active research and evaluation program.
About us:
- Morisset Hospital provides extended care Mental Health Rehabilitation to consumers under the Mental Health Act and the Forensic Mental Health Act with a focus on developing skills and building resilience.
- We are a close-knit Multidisciplinary team comprising Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Educator, Clinical Nurse Consultant, Medical Officers and Allied Health staff.
- This role is supported by Nurse Manager, Site Senior Social Worker and Head of Social Work with ongoing education and training opportunities encouraged.

- Provide specialist person centred clinical advice to consumers, carers and families, and other health care professionals to ensure delivery of innovative clinical practice models and therapeutic interventions.

- This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
- Listed as a heritage site, Morisset Hospital is a psychiatric facility situated on Silky Oak Drive, Morisset.
- Nestled between the sparkling shores of Lake Macquarie and the majestic woodlands of the Watagan Mountains to the west, Morisset serves as a serene entry point to the hidden trails and pathways weaving through the Lake Macquarie region.

- Must hold as a minimum a bachelor's degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
