Jewish Care Victoria, a not-for-profit organisation, is the largest provider of aged and community services for the Jewish Community in Victoria. Services include Aged Residential Care, Community Aged Care, Disability, Mental Health, Youth and Family Services, Employment, Financial Counselling and Holocaust Survivors Programs.

Jewish Care is currently seeking the services of an experienced Social Worker, who relishes variety in their work and engaging with a broad range of sectors to meet their client’s needs. Key responsibilities
- Provide culturally safe, case management services to support individuals and families within the Victorian Jewish community;
- Contribute to an integrated and collaborative, person-centred response including undertaking a holistic, strengths-based assessment and case plan;
- Advocate for services to meet client’s individual and sometimes complex needs;
- Undertake the role of coordinator for client in engaging Jewish Care’s wrap-around services and referring to external programs or services, as required;
- Conduct relevant risk assessments, safety plans and participate in information sharing in accordance with MARAM (Multi-agency Risk Management framework) CISS (Child Information Sharing Scheme) and FVISS (Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme);
- Utilise contemporary frameworks to support assessment, case formulation, and engage external service systems as required (e.g. CATT , Child Protection)
What you need to succeed in this role
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience (post qualifying) working in community services;
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant DFFH policy and practice frameworks and legislation;
- Ability to effectively manage work schedule, and to work both independently and as part of a team;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office package;
- Full Covid-19 vaccination or medical exemption

- A tertiary qualification in social work and minimum 5 years post-qualifying experience in the community services sector
