Join the wider Digital & Technology team within this newly created role where you will ensure all custom engineering within ARN is of high quality and delivers maximum value. This covers research and development, software engineering and Data Engineering. This position would suit someone with a hands-on approach who enjoys everything from setting strategy to setting processes and is looking to take the next step in their career.
This role forms a key part of the Business Solutions Leadership team, a group of leaders that will collaboratively brainstorm solutions, review potential opportunities, and prioritise work based on value to the business.
This position can be performed from almost anywhere, although would benefit from being near team members based in either Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.
About the role:
- Provide technical guidance to the team on best practices for modern engineering.
- Implement processes, standards and practices that ensure software is developed to appropriate quality, security, and maintainability levels.
- Implement processes, standards and practices that ensure ARN data is of an appropriate quality and is secured to the appropriate levels.
- Implement processes, standards, and practices to maximise benefits from R&D.
- Provide strong leadership to 6 direct reports.
- Work with appropriate teams to ensure all outputs from the engineering team are appropriately hosted, maintained, supported, and utilised.
About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in software engineering, Data Engineering or similar discipline.
- A strong understanding of Data Engineering concepts.
- Prior experience in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience as a software and/or data engineer.
- Radio/media/broadcasting industry experience advantageous.
- A strong passion for coaching and knowledge development.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
